This three-tiered jubako is finished in a deep, glossy roiro black lacquer.
Measuring approximately 19.8 cm square, it offers a well-balanced size suitable for a variety of uses.
The decoration features the chinkin (gold-inlaid engraving) design “Hika” (Flying Blossoms) by artist Tsunehiro Azuma. Inspired by drifting dandelion seeds, the motif has a gentle and charming character.
In Japanese culture, dandelion seeds are regarded as an auspicious symbol of prosperity and continuity, as a single flower releases many seeds that go on to bloom into countless new flowers.
This jubako is suitable not only for New Year’s celebrations but also for everyday use.
