This is an original Wajima lacquerware pendant created by Shioyasu Urushi Studio.

The pendant is made of wood and finished with traditional Wajima lacquer, polished using the roiro technique to achieve a deep, lustrous sheen. The cord is a hand-braided pure silk kumihimo, sourced from a skilled artisan in Saitama.

Lightweight, glossy, and smooth to the touch, it is comfortable to wear. It makes a beautiful accessory for outings and is also well suited as a thoughtful gift.

The most iconic black of Wajima lacquerware. As the term “jet black” suggests, it is a deep black with the distinctive transparency unique to natural lacquer.
