This round tray features a reversible design, with a cloth-textured surface on one side and a black kagamiko lacquer finish on the other.

Because it can be used on both sides, you may choose the surface that best suits the occasion or purpose.

The cloth-textured side is finished in tame-nuri lacquer, which gradually develops a deeper, warmer reddish tone with continued use.

The opposite side is finished in black kagamiko lacquer. This technique produces a harder surface than standard lacquer finishes, making it more resistant to scratches, even when touched with chopsticks or similar utensils.

It may also be used as a serving plate for dishes such as sashimi or tempura, allowing foods without sauces to be presented directly for an elegant table setting.
