In Akubi Shinan (“Yawning Lesson”), the character Hachigorō bumps into his friend Kumagorō, who claims he is on his way to practice the art of yawning. Curious, Hachigorō follows along—only to find himself yawning, too.
This doll depicts that very moment: Hachigorō mid-yawn, his wide-open mouth and sleepy expression charmingly rendered to evoke a sense of calm and gentle amusement.
Available in three kimono colors — Azuki (reddish brown), Shiracha (light beige), and Tetsukon (deep navy). Each color variation offers a distinct personality while maintaining the series’ refined aesthetic.
